An API, or Application Programming Interface, is the intermediary between two separate systems. You may use this to exclusively exchange data, however together with the eLabSDK (Software Development Kit), your team can customise and extend the functionality of eLabJournal according to the demands of your laboratory.
You can read the documentation of our API, which includes a section to authenticate and receive an API token. You can also request an API token from end-users.
For organisations that do not have the knowledge or resources to develop Apps within their organisation, but would still like to extend functionality with a custom App(s), you may have your Apps built by one of our developing partners.
