To increase our business in the DACH region by setting up an office in Germany, we are looking for a full-time Business Developer Manager living in the Bavaria region.
With our software solutions, we help modern scientists in R&D laboratories of academic institutes, pharma, biotech companies, and start-ups in the process of digitizing their workflows. We facilitate our clients to unlock the full potential of life sciences and accelerate research. We contribute to the added value that life sciences research can offer our world and work with scientists to enable discoveries in various fields. Our clients work on topics ranging from cancer research, sustainable food production in areas where cultivation seems impossible, or the development of COVID-19 vaccines, and many more.
The purpose of your role, together with your team that directly reports to you, is to achieve market share gains and secure long-term profitability and sustainable growth so we can keep helping scientists elevate their life science research. Your focus is to drive the sales of our products by closing contracts with our clients and partners in the DACH region. Due to your past lab experience, you can guide and advise the client regarding optimizing and digitizing their lab workflows.
Together with the Global Sales Director, you participate in the global sales strategy and translate this into a solid plan for the DACH region, including sales targets. You will be responsible for the P&L and budget of the DACH region.
We are a scaling-up organization. You will play both a strategic and hands-on role. You will lead the DACH team, which currently consists of two sales team members, but will continue to grow and diversify in roles such as sales, marketing, and customer support. At the same time, you will be responsible for handling the key accounts in the DACH region and help us set up an actual office in Munich, Germany. To keep the sales funnel filled, local marketing initiatives need to be conducted. At first, this will be in your hands and the account managers, with help from our global marketing team. But soon, this will be executed by a local marketing specialist who will report to you directly and will act according to the global marketing strategy. For the scalability of your work and that of the account managers and providing customer service in the German language, we will add a local customer service specialist who will also report to you.
