Quality Assurance Engineer

Our organization is growing, and so is our team! That is why we are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who can ensure the quality of our products, so we can keep innovating and expanding our software. You will work out of our headquarters in Groningen. Does this sound interesting? Check out below!

What do we do?

With our software solutions, we help modern scientists in R&D laboratories of academic institutes, pharma, biotech companies, and start-ups in the process of digitizing their workflows. We facilitate our clients to harness the enormous potential of life sciences and accelerate research. We contribute to the added value that life sciences research can bring to the world and work together with researchers to make discoveries possible. Our customers work on various themes, ranging from cancer research to sustainable food production. But also consider, for example, the development of COVID-19 vaccines.

What is your role?

As our QA engineer, you will ensure the quality of our products. You will achieve this goal by writing and maintaining automated integration tests and by manually testing functionality delivered by our developers. Your challenge is bringing our testing to the next level with tools like Cypress and Cucumber in combination with GitLab pipelines. You get to be responsible for the high quality of a complex, globally used product.

Together with our software developers and product owners, you will participate in the sprint refinement and planning sessions to determine the requirements. You will contribute to building our software pipelines and are always searching for improvements. You are the expert on automated and manual testing and will be the critical link between the development team and the product owners. You also will be reporting and controlling quality indicators (test reports, code coverage).

You will work within our Development team, which currently consists of 9 other team members and two QA engineers. Our headquarters is in Groningen, and we have a sales office in Boston, US, and opening new offices in Germany and the United Kingdom. You will work out of Groningen
