Experimental data approval and blocking from further modification of this data after approval is critical to working in accordance with GxP compliance. eLabNext currently offers the option to approve and lock experiments with a digital signature (optionally with a second signature).

To improve flexibility and control over the (witness) signing process, labs may install the Signature Workflow add-on.

Key benefits

  • Set up an unlimited number of approval steps
  • Create custom signing flow per project
  • Specify who needs to sign in each step

How does Signature Workflow differ from the current Witness and Sign functionality?

Dedicated permissions

Dedicated permissions to create and update signature workflows. Default only allows group admins permission.

Create a Signing Flow I

Create a step and define who can sign from 3 options: specific user, user role, or any collaborator on an experiment.

Create a Signing Flow II

  1. Assign one or more Projects to which this flow applies.
  2. Publish to workflow to make the Signature Workflow active.

Once published, the workflow will apply to any unsigned experiments in the selected project(s).
